1903 : The Wright Brothers fly the first airplane.

1894 : Showers and hot-water taps are installed in Harvard Yard dormitories.

1894 : Radcliffe College is chartered by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

1896 : The first modern Olympic games take place in Athens, Greece.

Cornelius Conway Felton
